20 DAY PERIODS
The 20-day periods are used to help budget & conserve water on the scheme and ensure all shareholders can be supplied during high demand periods. This rule is to protect the water and ensure their is availability when seasons are dry. It ensures that the delivery infrastructure is not put under undue pressure, whilst enabling delivery to all shareholders, especially those towards the end of the scheme.
Please remember to notify the operations team of your water needs throughout the season. To help manage efficiency of delivery and to avoid unnecessary by-wash, your race operator needs to know if you are planning to turn on or off or if you would like to be excluded from a roster. The earlier you can make this known the less of an impact there will be on the rest of scheme, ideally 48 hours' notice. Thanks
Water Ordering
Reminder that Tiaki Maniototo have funds available for local Maniototo Farms to fence off water ways and/or for riparian planting. Tiaki Maniototo will pay 50% towards the costs associated with fencing an/or riparian planting, an opportunity too good to let pass by.
